This means that foreigners are generally not permitted to purchase property in many parts of the community, and this limits the ownership opportunities. 

However, this trend is slowly changing. Many new freehold apartment projects are being introduced and emerging in specific zones within the area. These developments are bringing opportunities for foreign investors and residents who are looking to own a property rather than to rent. But still, it presents fewer freehold options than neighborhoods like Downtown, Business Bay, or JVC.   

2. Limited Access to the Dubai Metro

There is no Dubai Metro station in Mirdif. This is the point that can be counted as a disadvantage for residents who use public transport daily. Different from the areas like Dubai Marina or Deira that are well served by the Metro network, Mirdif is way behind in terms of connectivity.  

Centrepoint (formerly Rashidiya Metro Station) is the nearest Metro station to Mirdif. However, the trip can be exhausting and take more time, especially during the busy hours, as one has to travel by bus from Mirdif to the station. And because of this, residents must have cars for their convenience and time savings on daily travels.  

These disadvantages affect some people more and some less. But these factors do matter, depending on your lifestyle, preferred form of transportation, and long-term real estate goals.

Is Mirdif the Right Fit for You?

Mirdif holds a peaceful residential way of living with big homes, family-friendly facilities, and excellent road connectivity. It is perfect for families, consistent travelers, and anyone who prefers a calm life and while at the same time living in the city.
